  • Copywriter
    Credo, a trusted voice in an under-regulated beauty industry and a recognized pioneer in clean beauty retail, is looking for a full-time Copywriter based in Los Angeles. Powered by a deep commitment to healthy beauty, we challenge conventional ingredient standards and believe that consumers should not have to sacrifice their health for substance. 

    POSITION PURPOSE

    We are seeking a Copywriter to join Credo’s in-house Creative Team. This person will interpret campaign concepts into insightful and clever promotional copy.
    Regardless of the medium, you can capture the attention of the reader appropriate to the channel they are in.
    You will be responsible for implementing the brand’s new tone of voice across various touchpoints and channels, specifically social media and direct marketing copy in the online customer journey.
    The ideal candidate has experience in beauty, fashion and/or luxury retail, who embodies and can articulate Credo’s values in sustainability and clean beauty and striving for better industry standards.
    You should have a passion for storytelling and making the complex easy to understand, while also having a strategic and approach to consumer communication. With an ability to own projects, the Copywriter must be able to give and receive constructive feedback, while communicating the status of projects to the Director of Copy, who will review and approve all copy.
    This is an exciting and unique opportunity where you will work with beautiful brands who share Credo’s values, while also creating and sharing the brand story of Credo.

    MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES

    Bring Credo’s values and mission to life, through all our channels, campaigns and communications.
    Support conceptual campaigns, working with Director of Copy and Art Directors, to bring marketing strategies to life in a unique and insightful way.
    Craft copy that ladders up to business/project objectives while staying close to the brand voice.
    Write copy that serves many needs across the business: promos, product and brand launches, influencer content, customer acquisition drives, etc. Deliverables include email, SMS, blog, paid media ads, video copy, copy across social media channels, site updates, performance marketing, and more.
    Work efficiently within tight deadlines to manage numerous projects, delivering concise, accurate, and polished copy with strong calls to action.
    Support Director of Copy and fellow writers as needed with research, brainstorming, edits, and ad hoc project support, and day to day project support.
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and marketing trends, competitor launches, and new beauty trends to create the most timely and compelling copy.
    Collaborate with social media marketing to support the development of a monthly content calendar, pitching topics, themes, and ideas.
    Work closely with team members to adhere to and maintain the copy style guide and tone of voice.

    PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS

    You will be the Director of Copy’s right hand on all things digital and social, and work in a collaborative creative environment, partnering with Art/Design and Project Managers.
    Marketing, Digital, Merchandising teams – for multi-brand and Credo communications.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    BS/BA in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
    Minimum of 3 years of experience years of copywriting and editing experience in beauty, luxury, retail copywriting, and editorial.
    Innate creativity and strong interest in beauty and wellness.
    Strong written and verbal communication as well as keen attention to detail.
    Ability to translate strategic briefs into accurate, thoughtful creative.
    Ability to remain both resourceful and nimble while managing a large volume of work.
    Clear understanding of priorities and strong time management skills.
    Highly creative and conceptual writer with an interest in marketing.
    Must be comfortable with using a conversational editorial approach.
    Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of partners.
    Ability to leverage a close working relationship with cross-functional partners.
    Impeccable attention to detail and quality assurance.
    Strong prioritization, time management and excellent organizational skills.
    Must be results-oriented, solutions-based, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment with a heavy promotional and product activation calendar.
    Understanding of metrics, including the ability to interpret performance results and take action to increase effectiveness.
    Interest in research, audience identification, industry trends, content trends, etc.

    A willingness to embrace change and to adapt to strategic pivots.
    Experience utilizing content management software, social media platforms like Planoly, MS Office, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
    The ideal candidate will be based in Los Angeles and must be able to work a hybrid schedule and PST hours.

  • Digital Marketing Manager
    Credo, a trusted voice in an under-regulated beauty industry and a recognized pioneer in clean beauty retail, is looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Manager based in New York City (hybrid). Powered by a deep commitment to healthy beauty, we challenge conventional ingredient standards and believe that consumers should not have to sacrifice their health for substance.

    POSITION PURPOSE
    Reporting to the Director of Marketing the Digital Marketing Manager will lead all aspects of paid media for Credo and its Private Label brands. They will be responsible for developing and leading full funnel media strategy inclusive of all mediums and channels including 3rd party (CoOp, OOH, Media Network, etc.) to drive omni traffic and increase brand awareness.

    MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES
    Developing always-on and campaign strategy for specified launches across categories to increase engagement and ROI while identifying new channels through a test and learn methodology continuing to diversify our channel mix.
    Manage full funnel paid social campaign structure, testing, optimization, and strategy in alignment with company and campaign goals to drive awareness, trial, and purchase
    Execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, affiliates, and display advertising campaigns in partnership with marketing and ecommerce teams
    Lead all aspects of media planning including briefing, strategic planning, target analysis, ad setup, content calendar, budgets, and measurement to ensure best in class execution
    Identify audience targets and set clear objectives for paid media campaigns in order to effectively hit goals within established budgets
    Manage the media agency relationships to ensure strong synergies between media plans and optimize across the different channels to drive day-to-day and long-term performance (TV, Digital Video, Social, Programmatic Display, SEM, and Custom Digital Media)
    Work closely with our social and technology (Facebook, Google, SNAP, etc.) partners to keep up with key trends, new features, and to ensure we are optimizing on each platform and implementing digital learning agendas for test and learn campaign plans and launching on new platforms
    Collaborate with creative to implement creative best practices across channels
    Support new channel identification, evaluation, and testing to help diversify channel mix
    Set relevant KPIs and targets to measure against each digital channel and activation to ensure internal targets are being met
    Develop and cascade daily, weekly, and monthly insights and reports

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
    BS/BA in marketing, journalism, or communications or equivalent experience
    5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, or similar roles in fashion, hospitality, CPG and/or agency experience, demonstrating a clear understanding of paid media, performance marketing, and social media platforms
    Knowledge of digital, traditional and emerging media, campaign planning and consumer engagement
    Proficiency in all social platforms including Meta, Google, Snap, Pinterest, TikTok, and passion for emerging platforms
    Proficiency in major search engines and their user interfaces including Google AdWords, Omniture, Google Analytics, SEO, SEM Affiliate, PPC
    Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead cross-functionally and build relationships internally and externally
    Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of creativity and strategic vision
    Strong communication, organization and relationship management skills, ability to independently set priorities and motivate others
    Budget management required
    Experience managing and negotiating with external partners and agencies
    Should be able to commute to NYC for hybrid working

    POSITION PURPOSE

    We are seeking a talented Packaging Designer to join Credo’s in-house Creative Team. As the Packaging Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the visual identity of Credo owned brands. Your primary responsibility will be to design innovative and sustainable primary and secondary packaging that aligns with our commitment to clean beauty and sustainability. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that the packaging not only reflects our brand values but also engages consumers across various touchpoints, both in the retail environment and online–spanning skin care, body care, makeup and tools. You will also assist the team with production design as needed, with an acute attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, typography, color and print mechanicals within the beauty, fashion, or luxury retail industry.

    MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES

    Conceptualize the visual direction of packaging for new brand and product launches.
    Lead the packaging design process, from exploration to presentation-ready renders and print-ready artwork.
    Oversee the creative production process, collaborating with product development, vendors, printers, and suppliers.
    Design bespoke kits, limited edition packaging, seasonal assortments, and e-commerce shipper boxes.
    Ensure packaging designs effectively communicate Credo's commitment to clean beauty and sustainability.
    Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and materials for innovative and eco-conscious packaging concepts.
    Collaborate with the creative team, providing design expertise for overall storytelling and visual representation.

    PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS

    Creative Team: Collaborate closely with the VP of Creative and the creative team.
    Credo Brands: Work closely with Product Development, Account/Project Management, and General Manager.
    Packaging Development Vendors, Suppliers, and Printers: Maintain relationships for high-quality packaging solutions.
    Marketing and Merchandising Teams: Align with teams to establish branding direction and collaborate on custom kits.
    Visual Merchandising: Collaborate to ensure packaging has maximum impact in the retail environment.
    Sustainability and Impact Team: Engage proactively to ensure packaging meets Credo’s Clean Standards and Sustainable Packaging Guidelines.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree in design or related field.
    3-5 years of packaging design experience, preferably in a creative design agency or beauty brands.
    Strong portfolio showcasing conceptualization, design, and execution, with a focus on packaging.
    Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
    Understanding of digital printing processes and knowledge of photography, illustration, typography, and digital formats.
    Strong design skills in print, typography, and color (Pantone).
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and priorities.
    Excellent written and verbal communication.
    Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
